This section is used in the Chronological Resume to highlight your technical abilities and skills when you’re applying for these types of positions. To make this section and your skill stand out, move the section towards the top of the resume, before the Work Experience section.

Technical skills are the “tools” of your trade, while mostly thought of as Information Technology related, they are not necessarily restricted to information technology. Mechanical, electrical or craft skills can also be considered technical skills. Listing these skills within categories will help the reader understand the breadth and depth of your abilities.
How to create technical skills.
The clearest way to list your technical skills is to group them into standard headings. For example in Information Technology, these can be programming languages, databases, operating systems, network protocols, etc…
